Sumit Kain is a corporate lawyer with a sharp focus on data privacy, GDPR compliance, and emerging technology laws. At Fortius Data Solutions, he serves as Co-Founder and Legal Counsel, where he architects the legal foundation behind CheckLegal.ai — ensuring the platform aligns with global privacy regimes and scales securely across jurisdictions.

With a strong grounding in contract strategy, dispute resolution, and regulatory frameworks, Sumit transitioned from a rich background in media, entertainment law, and transfer pricing into the fast-evolving world of tech and AI-driven compliance. Before co-founding Fortius, he led legal and production portfolios across the media industry, including senior roles in production and compliance at firms like Yash Raj Films and Nightwhistlers Entertainment. His legal acumen is further honed through his ongoing partnership at boutique law firm Orange & Grey, where he has handled cross-border transactions, litigation, and IP strategy.
